For sale 1990 Ford Mustang LX5.0 twin turbo (Saleen clone)

Asking $19,000 OBO

Will sell without Sterns (-$3K)
Will sell without Corbeau seat (-$1K)
Will sell without Saleen ground efx (-$1K)

Tuned by John Gotera first at Dyno Speed then again a year later at BB&T. I had
ignition issues so we never made a full pull. Since last dyno session it has new MSD
wires and plugs. Made over 500lb of torque and 400hp before 4K rpm. Have both
dyno sheets.

Not sure of the actual miles on car but I believe it to be between 120K and 130K.
Motors has between 40K and 50K and turbo kit has between 20K and 30K.

Engine - Keith Craft 306 short block, Comp cams spec’ed by Keith Craft (Not
a turbo cam as that kit was installed later), Copper head gasket and ‘O’ ringed
Edelbrock RPM heads held down with ARP head studs (the long block has been
together for 6 year), Comp magnum roller rockers, Edlebrock RPM 2 intake with
70MM throttle body, MSD distributor, 6al box, wires (NEW) and coil (NEW),
Canton road race oil pan, 8psi Incon twin turbo inner cooled turbo system with
street cast iron exhaust manifolds that have been ceramic coated. Custom intake
from inner cooler to TB with Vortec BOV and Cobra MAF built in. Complete
Aeromotive fuel system with sump tank, A1000 pump and billet fuel rails. Exhaust
is 2.5" x pipe with Mac mufflers and Chrome BBK tail pipes. AFCO aluminum
radiator with Spal twin electric fans and Spal electronic fan controller.

Exterior - Saleen wing (real), Electric sun roof by ASC with tilt and slide, Original
Wild Strawberry metallic paint, all black trim repainted gloss black. Custom engine
bay with holes filled and engine compartment painted. Have 4 piece (real) Saleen
gound efx that have not been installed. New clear 6 piece head light kit.

Interior - Full Auto Meter gauges. 5" tach and 5" speedometer in dash. Five 2-3/
4" gauges in Florida 5.0 gauge pod (Water temp, Oil pressure, Oil Temp, Volt and
fuel level). 3-2" gauges in Auto Meter A pillar (Fuel pressure, Boost, rich-lean).
All gauges are Auto Meter phantom series with white background and black trim.
battery relocated in back seat area with rear seat deleted. Interior needs to be
completed. Going for the SSC look with the rear seat delete package from Saleen
and Pioneer. No stereo (Last part of the build).

Suspension - Steeda upper and lower rear control arms, Saleen lowering springs,
MM caster camber plates, MM billet tie rod ends, MM steering U-joint, KYB shocks
and struts, 4 wheel disc Baer brakes with drilled/slotted rotors. Kenny Brown weld
in sub frame connectors and G-load K frame brace installed just after I bought the
car. Strut tower bar removed for fitment issues.

Drive line - Tremec 3550 5spd transmission (not the TKO), Hayes aluminum
flywheel with street dual friction clutch assembly including new clutch cable.
Steeda Tri-Axe shifter (will include original Tremec shifter), Aluminum Ford
Motorsports driveshaft. 3.73 Ford Motorsports gears installed by previous
prior to 1995. Stock 28 spline Ford diff with new clutches and Moser axles (5 lug).
Energy suspension motor and transmission mounts.

Wheels and tires - '96 Cobra wheels with old Toyo tires. 3 piece Stern wheels
just refinished with new Toyo FZ4 tire 235/45R17 front and 275/40R17 rear.
(Wheels came factory or SSC Saleens)

Issues with the car that you should considering before buying. Car has a pesky
small oil leak that I can’t find and have given up trying. New rear main and oil pan
gasket recently installed. Took the car on the 2009 Power tour and was a long
hauler but didn't stay for the pictures. Car ran hot during the heat of the day
and at the time had the AFCO single 16" fan with aluminum shroud. Installed dual
Spal fans hoping that would fix the issue but car can run hot (210-220) if pushed.
I have added a 2qt Canton recovery can in the inner fender so it has more volume
for coolant. Haven't tested it this summer. AC system is 100% new, painted and
installed over 4 years ago. Working on getting the AC blowing cold. Car drives well
but with the light flywheel it is hard to leave smoothly. Leaving hard is easy but in
traffic it requires a smooth touch and your attention. I’m selling to build an early
70’s pro-touring car.
