Hello.

I have a Shelby -08 with some mods, and a problem...

When im out driving the pony i get the "bip" and failsafe engine mode is activated... cant rev above 4000rpm.

I put my SCT in to read the codes and it says:

P1227-Wastegate failed closed
P0153-CKT slow response
P2198-02 sensor signal biased/stuck rich (B2,S1)

P2198 is that the code of the fault everybody is talking about with the TB from kennebell?

Im from sweden and the tuner says every mustang he has done with Kennebell superchargers get this fault.

So please help sweden ;)

I got the p1227 once after the vmp 67mm tb installed but I used my handheld and cleared it, and haven't happen again so far. I think your tune needs to be tweaked for the tb.

I did the same now and havent got that failsafe(holding my thumbs) , the only thing i have when i read the codes with SCT is the Wastegate P1227 code...
And when i give full power and shift to the next gear its a small delay until the power comes on again...
I think i need to go to the tuner again.

one more thing don't spray cleaners (directly) throw the throttle body as they will destroy your throttle body sensors

thanks for the warning, then i immediatly thinks of another possibility... the oil breathers from the valve covers goes into the intake maybe some greasy oil has come to the sensors?
Maybe i should buy some of those oil seperators then?

Best regards/ Sorry for my english...

yes the oil catch cans will benefit you if you don't want any oil going inside the supercharger or the throttle body
ill recommend jlt catch cans for both passenger side and driver side
