I have seen many threads about clutch/trans removal - some say you need to remove h-pipe, some don't

i was under my car last night and the more i look at the h-pipe, the more i think it can stay on while removing trans and bellhousing

opinions/experience?

ps - the h-pipe on the 2004 is different than the 2003...

how are you planning on getting the driveshaft off with the h-pipe in???

it looks like it once you remove it from the rear yoke you could just move it out of the rear of the trans and then pull it out from the front

this h-pipe is nowhere near the transmission and only slightly close to the bellhousing

The tranny still need to be moved back about 8". You might not be able to tilt the engine/tranny enough to get access to the top 2 tranny bolts.
