2010-12 taillight mod help

Has anyone opened up their taillights on they 2012 mustang yet. I know it can be done but I don't want to mess anything up.

why do you want too may i ask?

I think if the chrome is removed from the face of the tailight(the part around where the bulb projects light) it would give the tail light a darker appearance. It wouldn't hinder light out put and would be alot different from what everyone else is doing

Are you talking about the headlights or taillights? I don't remember the taillights having chrome?

I would also love to know. Both my 2012 tail lights had the plastic bulb cover that is inside my light break off and is floating around. Used lights are only 100 bucks so in probably better buying another set.

I was looking at mine and i would love to be able to mod them. Basically pop the cover off, remove all red. Use red lights. For the sequential turn signals i would love to be able to use a CFL/LED square strip in each. But i don't think what i want exists.

I've thought of removing my lense and painting the housing black on my stock taillights.
