... not sure if anyone here has seen this hood yet, but i've just recieved mine yesterday and from a visual inspection, i must say this hood looks really good, now the hood is still in the box, but as soon as it's professionally installed and prepped for paint, i'll give my opinion on the outcome and what it took to get it there, i will also post pics before and after, but i'm pretty happy with what i've seen so far, the biggest concern was quality of course, but after i've seen it, the price i paid is a really nice feeling ...

... i got it off Ebay, shipped from California to my door in Virginia for only $480.00 !!!!!!! ... WOO HOO !!!!!!!

... I will post pics soon ...

I've been eyeing that hood myself for a while for my 13. I asked my paint guy about how much for prep and paint, he said ballpark $400. I'll gonna follow this thread though, as I'm conflicted between the duraflex stuff or just getting the Cervini's hood

i have this hood on my 12 and its a heavy hood you need 2 people to put in on..but it doesnt budge at 150mph.. the factory is so much lighter....but the look of this hood transforms the car!!

... you have the duraflex cobra r, or the Cervini hood ?? ... i agree on the transformation part, imo its the best aftermarket hood available ... ;)

I have the cervinis, not the duraflex...is the duraflex hood heavy?

... honestly, it feels the same as the factory hood to the hand, but we didn't have a scale to see the exact difference, but either way it's gotta be really close, but the "Out of the Box" surface of this hood looks really good, i'm confident it won't take much prep to get this baby under some Kona Blue paint !!! ...

... well i finally got my duraflex hood installed and painted, and i'd say the fitment out of the box was 98%-99% ... it literally bolted right on, the edges didn't need trimming, no slotting either, the hood was staright and not twisted at all, the body work was easy too, ...
... the 2 things i noticed were different from the 100% fiberglass version is this duraflex hood has more flex in it when opening it, as it has a certain amount of rubber in it, but this should help resist cracking, but it does need some extra drain holes underneath, as mine held a bit of water until i drilled some extra drains in it ...

... that being said, i'm very happy with this hood ... :coolman:
