Although the 5.0 is a spectacular vehicle in every way, I have to disagree with you on that. I would say stock vs stock, a 5.0 is closer to a M6 LS2 vette. MPH indicates the actual power a car puts out and et is driver's responsibility, (i.e tires, suspention etc.) Many LS2 and LS3 guys are running low 120s with bolt ons only. Many LS3 guys are running mid 120s with bolt-ons. add a cam to the equation, and LS3s are running 126-130s. There are many LS2s running bottom 11s with high 120s mph traps cam only. Many stock LS3s are running 117-120s, A6s included. I think time will reveal the true potential of the 5.0s and you will see how well the 5.0s really et. I would love to see a 5.0 with slicks, skinnys, 4;10 gears and bolt-ons run, using an average driver and not a magazine driver, or shop. I am willing to bet the 5.0 will see mid to bottom 11s @ 118-120. I am really considering buying a 2012 automatic now as a daily driver.
