2012 5.0 Engine Building for turbo

Friend point me to here, saying that there is generally amazing advice given/knowledge behind what is being said so I figured I'd ask here.

I'm planning to turbo my car sometime in the near future but I wanted to build the engine before doing so. Any general advice as what to look at/brands/where to start etc. would be amazing! After adding the turbo I'm only looking to be around 750~hp, with some interest in the track but mostly just for fun on the street.

Only mods I have done so far are: Jlt CIA/Bama tune, Lethal Off road X, and SLP axle back.

So after building the motor and adding the turbo you only want to be at 650hp?

Bah typo, sorry about that fixed it to say around 750~whp.

Well I've never built an engine before but I have a general idea of what that involves. What I'm really looking for is just some tips on where to start, previous engine builds, what to put in/works best (brands etc).
