It's been over a week but we are back at it. Last weekend I went up to OKC to get a new car trailer and this week has been busy so far. We spent 3 hours on the engine today and made great progress. Cams are in, engine is timed, and we have most of the accessories on. We have it all taped up because we have to grind part of the block for the Gen 2 VMP lower intake manifold to clear (the S550s ones sit lower in the valley). I think I mentioned this earlier but I picked up a Brett Barber ported lower with the VMP flow mod. Engine is just about ready to be mated back to the trans and put back on the K member. I forgot to add a few minor details to my last post. In case anyone was wondering the car has MMR head studs, MMR cam cap bolts, and ARP cam phaser bolts. I don't have a preference on brand, in my opinion ARP and MMR offer great products, torque to spec and SEND IT. Fresh L&M intake cams..... bling bling IMG_20210422_165101375 by Leonard Riddick, on Flickr Intake valley works perfect as a place to store tools during assembly.
