2013 Tail lights for the 05-09s??? Hell ya!! Installed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFH4gythznA [youtube_browser]ZFH4gythznA[/youtube_browser] who'd rock them? Raxiom Gen5 Style Tail Lights -Install and review First I would like to thank Shane Lesky and Chris Rose of American Muscle for asking me to participate in the testing of these new 2013 style LED tail lights. The lights arrived at my home well boxed and packed. This box was inside a thick cardboard box Each of the assemblies was packed inside a separate box, padded and bubble wrapped. No instructions in the boxes, however it’s very straight forward. For a hint on how to remove the lamps check out this .pdf WWW.S197FORUM.COM To remove the rear truck trim piece is four plastic push pins and two long plastic holders near the top of the truck, once you pull these off you can pull the trim piece away and then push the carpet out of the way: The plastic push pins do require a bit of force and a thin blade of some type helps get under the top to pry them off. Once exposed you’ll see three long bolts, the nuts are 7/16” and require a deep well socket to remove, a few turns on a socket and they will be finger loose. You will also see the connector and rubber grommet: nsnap the connector and push the grommet from inside the trunk. Once all the nuts are off and the connector disconnected pull the stock assembly out. The area behind the assembly will be a bit dirty, so have a cloth and some detail spray to clean it up. Take the new assembly and thread the connector through the body, push the rubber grommet into the hole, use your thumb with some force to be sure that the grommet seals around the hole. Then line up the bolts to the holes in the body, push them through, this could take some pressure, the left side set I got did not seem to line up great (about the only knock I have on the set – minor at that). Once pushed through, reinstall the locking nuts. I tested all the functions, rear lights, parking lights and turn signals before I put the trim back on. Reinstall the rear trim piece and you’re done. The fit is perfect on them once fully installed and buttoned up. I can say these are bright! The rear lights are also very powerful. As with all LEDs you get some residual glow after they are off: Day time pics: Overall for those looking for the look of a 2013 tail light these are great choice. Easy plug and play install, good fitment and great looks.
