275 tires on cs wheels

So I have oem cs wheels and I was wondering if any one had tried fitting 275
tires on them, its a 8.5 inch wide wheel.

They won't fit. I also have a C/S and wish the wheels were wider. I'm thinking the widest you'd wanna go is 255.

I think we could go wider than 255's. Comes with 245's stock. I was trying to get something huge for the rears.

The 275's will fit, however there will be a lot of sidewall bulge from what I have been told. I would like to go wider on my stock 19's too but was told it probably not a great idea because of the bulge.

Other than looks, is there anything that will be ill-affected by the bulge? Off the top of my head, I would think cornering will also suffer. Any input?

You will effectively have less tire-to-road contact area than a proper fitting wheel/tire combo. The tires will wear unevenly too.
