Can't believe I didn't see this sooner. Yes the issues are still present with the larger KB blowers. Kenne bell in their idiotic wisdom kept the bypass valve in the same location on the new setups. They modified the intercooler feed/exit ports to clear the new inlet and didn't address the bypass valve issue. I remember years ago when this issue really first started popping up on the boards. Kenne bell first denied it was a problem and even made some claims that the fuel trim issues were actually problems with the tune. They later said that it is only really a problem with aftermarket cams and on stock cams the 2V was fine with the bypass valve pulling from above #5. This is actually why I can't stand my 2.1. It's not the size of the blower its the bypass valve issues. There are some other problems with the quality of the manifold as well. I am aware of the issues with the tork tech kit but honestly if I didn't live in CA I would have sold my 2.1 years ago and went tork teck with a whipple or TVS but the 2.1 is my only smog legal PD blower option. To me this would be easier then relocating the bypass and upgrading the inlet. Maybe I would feel differently if they would offer us 2.1 guys an inlet upgrade but they would rather push us towards a larger blower to make more money. In their defense relocating the bypass and keeping the EGR system isn't easy but still doable. To me nothing speaks more about a company and their mentality then when they make changes to their parts and ignore issues that they have admitted to. I'd go TT with a whipple 2.9 and forget all about KB.
