It more depends on your HP level, spool up time, and a bunch of other variables. IMO, it's wrong (read: bad info) for a 7 second outlaw car to even reply to this thread, as it's ENTIRELY a different setup. No offense MMR, but really? There is not one right answer. For some cars 3.27's are all wrong. For others 3.73's are all wrong. It also depends on which transmission you're running. Stock 6 speeds have a tall 1st gear which makes 3.27's feel like 3.08's in 5 speed cars and depending on spool up you'll absolutely get slaughtered through an intersection on the street by anything with 150 hp. I know this, I've had numerous turbo cars/turbo setups with gear ratios from 3.08's to 4.30's. All with manual transmissions. It really comes down to what you're using the car for. If you're drag racing, 3.27's can easily be a bad choice. Currently I'm running 3.73's and they're just right for my current setup. They took me to a 10.77@131 with plenty of room to grow. Post up your combo, and we can give you a better idea of which gear will work for you.
