Alright guys,

Been a Ford fan all my life (I drive a beater Bronco II right now) and as a senior in high school, it's time to step up to the bar and purchase myself a mustang of my own. Right now I'm looking at an 89 LX hatchback with the following mods:

Upper/Lower GT40 Intake
2 1/2 BBK Exhaust Full System
Centerforce Clutch
BBK Cold Air Kit
70mm Mass Air
24lb Injectors/Chip
Mac Pulleys
3 Core Radiator
Koni Shocks/Struts w/ Eibach Springs

I was just wondering what this combination would pull in the quarter and what about it would dyno at. The seller's asking $4300 and I might just snap it up. Thanks for the help!

I'd say about 265 at the flywheel, or 225 RWHP after accounting for 15% drivetrain loss.

Get some heads and your flywheel hp will exceed 300.

I'm guessing, but it seems like the car should do mid-high 13's at 100+, depending on traction.

Cool guys, thanks a lot for the input. 100mph trap speeds is fast enough for me.

And it's really going to lay the smack down on my best buddy. He has a Porsche 944 with cam/chip/intake/headers/straight pipe and it only traps at 79.

Go America
