Neither contributed to the squad or platoon yet both individuals got grace from our 1st Sgt and 2nd and 3rd chances. I have no patience for people like that, people who will drag the rest down. If they are identified as being turds I want them gone as soon as possible yet for the remainder of my time there I was stuck with them. It isn't always the peers that are the problem but often the leadership who won't lift a thumb to improve the team for the sake of losing a body that impacts overall numbers.</p><p></p><p>I have to believe that the same dynamic exists within police departments because leadership is ultimately responsible for manning power, and they take the heat for not having the bodies they need. The people they report to just think they aren't training well enough.</p></blockquote><p></p>
