i got a 83 f100 , my problem is i just got some stiffer springs for it.and it hops real bad now.

LFP makes traction bars for the Gen 1 lightnings....look into if the frames are similar if not the same. If not, look into off-road traction bars for like mudding and what not....same purpose, different marketing.

All those era F-150s suffer from wheel hop. Up until about 97 or so when the newer style came out. My 88 was terrible with hop.

Just needs some good traction bars and it's good to go. A 2002 I've driven recently had a lot of wheel hop so it is not just an old truck problem. It's those pesky leafs!

The cheap way is to add some traction bars like they said. It fixed the wheel hop in my truck.
