This is the 3rd time since i bought the car the ABS light has come on. First time it was a bad abs sensor so i had it replaced under factory warrenty. Second time warrenty was up and the light came on again so just when i was about to get it fixed the light went away. Now a good 4 months later the light came on again. Now i know if i take it to a ford dealership they are going to charge me at least 200 for it. So should i wait and see if the light goes away or buy the part and change it myself? I had it replaced under ford and i called today and they told me if it was the same sensor they would replace it for free. But i have to pay the $88 diag. charge. I told him i would check it myself with a tuner and he said it might be the wires, or abs computer. So basically he wants me to take it in either way. I want to try and avoid the $88 charge because if its not the same sensor then i gotta spend more money on it.
