Hey guys, I've been searching all over trying to find out if I need to tap the door subwoofer wires to hook to the MTX REQ, or if I can just tap into the rear speakers. Some people say u can't use the rear speakers as the system doesn't send bass to them, and I see in other threads people mentioned using the rear speakers.

I'm just looking for someone who has done it successfully and can answer knowledgably.

Thanx guys

You need to tap the 8" door speakers, bass signal has been removed from the midrange door and rear deck speakers.

After more research, it appears that the rear deck speakers are "Full Range" speakers and there have been a few people who have used them as the source for the MTX Re-q and the Re-q adds the bass back in at higher volumes when the deck starts cutting bass....
