Do I have one? Should I take it out? If so, how?

This topic keeps showing up in my 5.0 magazines...

Its the little rubber piece connected to your factory air box that inserts into your fender.

yes you do have one, and yes remove it.

But wait, as long as your taking that stuff out go ahead and order you up a C&L 80mm MAF. Easy install (probably less than 20 minutes) and it comes with a K&N Filter.

Good Luck, David

Did the airbox come with it??

Yes (although its more like a heat shield), the kit also come with the tool required to remove the meter from the stock MAF (because its used in the C&L).

This is a quick "bolt-n-go" mod that will get you some good HP gains for the money.

FWIW, might want to check out www.densecharger.com & look into their cold-air-intake system. I have the full-length kit on my '01 & the install was straightforward (dyno #'s in sig are WITH this mod only, not exhaust BTW).
