If you have a direct shot into the TB inlet courtesy of no screen, you risk getting a bug or debris into the motor. Most CAI ktis have the screen removed, so you should be fine. Just make sure there is a filter if no screen!

No nothing happens, I did it when I first got mine. Then when you put an upgraded one on they don't come with screens.

You may notice a slightly rougher idle.But once the ecu learns its gone it should be ok.
