[QUOTE="Tyler Quinton, post: 15631051, member: 180198"] I'm honestly waiting for ford to make a dohc 427. Not sure if they will or not so I'm not too impatient to see one but would be nice if the little rumors of the next gt500 having one were true. Anyhow, someone mentioned that they're waiting for ford to make a car that can destroy demons and perform like a gt350r on the track. They just can't do that. Chevy said nobody could beat their zl1 around the track so ford built a car that could. That's what the gt350 is for. Handling. You don't need more than 600hp on a road track and that's even pushing it on a street car that performs on the track. The gt350 can get LOOSE on track and pulls like an animal up top and sounds great. The gt500 is built to be a fast street car in a straight line. To get gt500 power you need power adders or big ci engines. Superchargers get heat soak on track and turbos have lag. Turbo on a gt350 would be great but to get the big numbers with no lag you need the high compression which is no good for pump gas and if you drop compression you get the lag.
