Cars in general are largely a financial liability. That said paying a surcharge to lose money is stupid. Couple it with any interest and full depreciation (from new), it’s very likely the person making that kind of financial choice will have the luxury to do so at most 3 times in their lifetime. That same money, working for them as investments in real estate trusts, land, passive business, or markets and bonds would afford a revolving door of annual barely used vehicles after about 10 years of setup. To the guy paying an adm because it’s a non issue to them, well that’s capitalism. No shame in spending your money how you want. To the guy racking up debt to do so, you’re being China’s/anti American interests lackey you blundering selfish simpleton. It’s one thing to finance a car you arguably shouldn’t be financing, but anyone who has also financed an adm is not financially savvy or worldly astute in that choice. You can buy a gallon of ice cream from the supermarket every day and eat it for dinner. It’s a dumb idea. It’s not illegal to charge or pay an adm, but man is it foolish. Wait a few month or a year and get a used one private party with 3K miles or less, save 25%, and send at least half of it my go fund me account. (Shameless plug, it’s America.) The other half is a gift to you and your family of your own money, at no loss or negative interest. You’ll have the car you wanted, and extra money.
