Looking for some real world expectations. I have a full bolt on 07 with stock motor. The car has 1 7/8” longtubes, Trinity 2.3, 2.4 upper, stock 08 lower, SCJ Mono TB, JLT 127, ID1050X, BAP, and some cooling mods. My setup made 690whp on 93 octane at VMP prior to the longtubes. After adding longtubes I lost 2lb of boost and am seeing 15lbs, and I’m also now on 91 octane. My goals with the car is to have a safe pump gas tune and be able to take the car on the occasional track day (drags or road course). I’m contemplating getting a Gen 3 as I know the 2.3 Trinity with a 2.4 pulley is making some heat. My thought was I can run a larger upper pulley and make the same power on pump, and then add race gas and drop a pulley size. Does this swap seem like it’s worth the effort, and does anyone have any real world pump gas experience or numbers with the 2.65 Gen3 (not R) that they could share with me?
