Maybe not now, but when I was shopping, the Scat Pack had just come out and not a lot of people even knew about it. $39k base price plus $1000 guzzler tax for the manual or $1000 option for auto. On top of that, not only no incentives offered, but also a $5000 dealer markup because it was a "special" model. With UT's 6.8% tax rate it was pretty close to $50 OTD. I laughed and walked. I will say that the Scat Pack felt WAYYYY faster than my 5.0 though. I haven't driven a 6th gen Camaro but I did have an encounter with one last week. Got to go from a dig. My launch was spot on but he bogged his a bit. Still pulled slightly ahead of me after the first shift but then he missed 3rd and it was over. He was a younger guy and it still had dealer tags on it so I'm sure he wasn't used to it yet. It's a fair assumption that equally driven, he'd shit on me. As far as 2V's vs. LS1's, the '96 in my sig ran even with bone stock LS1's and I had most of the bolt-ons along with cams, so...I dunno about a FBO 2V, equally driven, beating an LS1.
