I have full Bassani including the Mid Lengths, ........... did mine when I had the Engine/Trans/K-member out of the car. Make sure you use Stage 8 fasteners.

Although The Bassani Mid Lengths are not a "easy" install, ya gotta love the way they help keep the heads and engine bay cooler, ... I also love the sound.

Ive got a set waiting to be installed.. I called a few shops and they said that as long as you use OE new gaskets in conjunction with the supplied Bassani gaskets there will be no issue what-so-ever.

I have had my set installed for about 4k miles. The Bassani gasket is leaking, I did a search and bought rem flex gaskets and stage8 locking header bolts. Havent installed yet though.

let us know how it goes... also never herd of people using 2 sets of gaskets.

last quest...how much of a power diff is there from going with true long tubes like mac, or kooks or going with the mid length from bassani

new set of stock gaskets first
remflex gaskets for bassani headers next
i used a small amount of super glue to hold a corner of the remflex gasket to keep the gasket inside the header flange while installing, made things easier.
stock studs and nuts
they do not leak
you must use remflex gaskets
throw away bassani gaskets and bolts
do not use thread sealant

they are best
they are very compressable and also rebound
i have not needed to retorque as i have w/others
make sure use plenty copper anti-seize on bolts or studs

another stupid question...
how much of a difference is there between the bassani mids compared to the bbk long tube, compared to the stock manifolds

I had the Bassani mids on the Cobra I lost 2-3 psi so at 15psi with a whipple it put down 616rwhp. Before @ 17psi it put down 609rwhp.

I have full Bassani Exhaust on my car and love it. Just used stage 8 locking bolts and the Bassani supplied gaskets. Stage 8 locking bolts are a must! No leaks at all.
