Looking for a tire for my gt500 and '11 GT. I run the nitto on my 99 and I love them. I looked on nittos site and they dont offer sizes around a 285. Anyone have any experience with running these model tires and switching over to something else noticing a significant difference? doesnt snow here often, looking for a street, DR type. Thanks for the help

Better is relative. It really depends on what you want from the tire.

Are you looking for a drag radial to hold down lots of power? Are you looking for a long wear tire that will provide decent traction and handling characteristics? how about a DOT R compound meant for auto-x and road race?

The new Goodyear tires they are putting on the PP GT500's are reportedly supposed to be very good tires.

Although they don't last very long, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar is also a pretty good tire. It benefits from having a lot of sizes available for it.
