Good luck with the 3.8L Whipple Supercharger; some have had problems with rooters!!!

I've read that, but there doesn't seem to be a clear reason or combination that's causing the issue. On the positive side, I've got the MoTeC that will continually monitor and enable safeguards if there is an issue.

Is whipple replacing them or SOL?
I haven’t heard of new production units having issues (one installed 2 mos ago the other 2 wks ago) but I’ve helped swap the first 3.8 because of race induced max testing and an early ported 3.0 that failed at the track also during testing. My tuner and I were discussing the plans for our cars this week and while he doesn’t like everything about the kit, he said it’s not a deal breaker if he does the install.
We both plan on going with Whipple 3.8s over the winter. Neither of us want the car down during driving season.

Looking forward seeing how the Motec does on this build!

I have had some extensive conversations with Fathouse and other build owners over the last two weeks and haven't heard of a single instance of failure. To be on the safe side we decided to leave mine on the 3.25 pulley since I do more track than drag events.
