[QUOTE="RES0574, post: 16449214, member: 176936"] I am giving up my season tickets to the Washington Redskins. No matter how bad they have been in the past 20 years, I have been fortunate enough to see my team play in 4 Superbowls, winning 3. With the potential name change of my team, and the NFL's new position, I am done with any support for that industry. The NFL is a business and can do what they want, support whatever causes they want, etc, but it will no longer be with my significantly minimal financial contribution. My only concern is with the people who provide for their families by supporting/working for the large infrastructure required for NFL teams. Their income has the potential to be significantly impacted by the loss of fans, as demand for concessions and other products will begin to fall. Potential local city economic impacts, closing of businesses, loss of employment. Then it will be another round of who is "privileged" because some people were not impacted by NOT supporting the NFL and their new social justice cause flavor of the week.
