Blower question

Im installing a vortec s trim with 11 pounds of boost.....am i gonna need forged pistons???

You will be ok with a very good tune. I don't have forged pistons or rods. I also know many people with 99+GTs with s-trims pushing around 10lbs anywhere from 360rwhp-425rwhp with no problems at all(on a good tune). Long run Id say get them, I am!

you should replace them, also dont froget about the rods and the crank. 10psi on a stock motor is quite a bit. I will be runnin 6 psi(untill my new motor is finished) then it will be up to 11 psi, then again I will be using a turbo not a blower. Just my .02

Depends on the tune.But on the average NO you wont need forged pistons.

But FYI -better plan down the road for a forged bottomend .Because there will come a time you will need one(like when you get the urge to crank the boost up).
