I know it's very old thread, we now have the luxury of knowing boss cylinder heads in the Gen 1 group are better they have better metallurgy they have the same aluminum as 67 scorpion heads much better mettalurgy much better porting, there even better than stock Gen 2 heads but if you port Gen 2 heads, you will outperform the boss cylinder heads gen2 cylinder heads have a larger valve than the gen ones gen 2 has the same valve size, and flow almost identical to boss heads Port the generation 2 cylinder heads for big gains.
