Break-In of '03 Cobra

I was wondering if there is a break-in period for the SVT. I have a Mercedes E55 and have had BMW M-series cars and the factory says do NOT break them in -- drive them the first mile as you would mile 100,000.

I know Mercedes and BMW bench test their engines beforehand, so maybe this is the reason, but does SVT as well?
