[QUOTE="_Snake_, post: 16722943, member: 159147"] Here we are a little over a year later and I figured an update was due. "The really hard part is going to be leaving it as is." Truth. Since bringing the truck home, I replaced the headlights, tail lights, 3rd brake light, cab lights, and fog lights. The K&N CAI is garbage to begin with and since this one was trashed, I bought a S&B CAI early on. The windows were in desperate need of a re-tint so I stripped the old stuff off and had everything done with ceramic, including a 50% layer on the windshield. The AC blend doors failed and the repair meant that I had to replace the dashboard (existing one looked like a jig saw puzzle.) Fortunately I found an OEM dash with no cracks already dyed the right color on Marketplace for $250. My luck is never that good and I really needed the deal at the time, so it worked out. With a new dash and working AC out of the way, I turned my attention to the tires and wheels after noticing two tires were D rated and two tires were E rated. No bueno. Since one of the steel wheels had a dent, I started searching and located a set of OEM aluminum 17's on Marketplace for $200. Marketplace to the rescue again! After they were mine, I mounted 35/12.50/17 Toyo AT III's and immediately realized how bad the steering was. Like not able to drive safely bad. In order, the truck received a new steering stabilizer, track bar, and ball joints (all from Carli). Each component made a noticeable difference, which only encouraged me to buy more stuff. A Synergy steering box brace went in followed by a Carli 3" leveling kit (new front coil springs and front and rear shocks). I have to admit I'm super impressed with how the truck rides/drives now. The shit ain't cheap, but its worth it. Somewhere over the last year I also installed a set of newer style GM tow mirrors and a MM3 tuner with custom tunes and EGT probe from 5-9 Diesel. Going from SO hp to the equivalent of a tuned HO was arguably my best investment. The driver side seat cushion and cover were replaced as was a failed seat motor. I also installed a new starter (failing) and water pump (failed catastrophically).
