The owner saw another black Camaro I have previously corrected and coated and wanted the same treatment on his muscle bound beast! For a brand new vehicle with such low mileage, the dealer really did a number on the finish. It is FULL of swirls, holograms, hazy paint, scratches, poor repair attempts, etc; that have resulted in even more holograms, VERY thin clear in some areas (1.2m range) and some hurt clear in areas. My client is very upset that his vehicle looks as it does, and was noticeably upset after I went over the vehicle with him under my LED lights. I’m hoping for a huge turnaround and explained that some areas I need to tread very lightly on and around. I will be taking my usual approach of being conservative with the correction; while attempting to achieve as much ‘%’ of correction as possible while taking this avenue. Onto the meat and potatoes! Tools/process/chemicals/products/etc: Iron decon with Adam’s Iron remover. Washed with Adam’s shampoo and GYEON mitt. Clayed via Griot’s medium mitt. Engine bay cleaned with Adam’s APC. ScanGrip lighting. DeFelsko PTG. Misc. MF towels. Misc. MF and foam pads. Flex 3401 was used for the heavy hitting. Flex XFE15 was used for the finessing. Rupes LHR12 and iBrid were used for the smaller areas. Griot’s Fast Correcting Cream. Griot’s Perfecting Cream. Final wipe down was with Optimum Paint Prep. 22ple Mistico Elemento Forte was the LSP. Engine bay trim was coated with IGL Trim. Ranger QuickJack. Wheels cleaned with Adam’s wheel cleaner. Tires/Rubber cleaned with Adam’s tire and rubber cleaner. Misc. brushes. Wheelwells and calipers cleaned with Adam’s APC/steam if necessary. Wheelwells coated with IGL Trim. Calipers and wheels coated with 22ple VM1. Tire dressing: McKee’s37 High Gloss. Exhaust tips cleaned with Pinnacle exhaust cleaner and brightener. Auto Finesse glass cleaner. McKee’s 37 Fast Interior Detailer. Metro Vacuum. Thanks for looking!
