Take Rt.100 to Rt.108 in Stowe and enjoy some some intense switchbacks up the mountain. In Burlington, Church St is pretty nice and there are several breweries in the area. If you need a hotel, the Hotel Vermont is excellent and right by the lake. There is also a restaurant near there called Hen of the Wood.
