The '04 apparently was final Cobra built. Future product will be limited edition Shelby Cobra at $90,000-$100,000 retail. Ford is gonna concentrate on the new 500, and the truck line.

So sad,
CW

Most dealers don't know jack. So I think it's BS.

I agree though that Ford has given a lot of attention to the high end vehicles (limited edition Shelby Cobra at $90,000-$100,000 retail) like the GT. It seems as though SVT has been stuffed in one of Fords closets and nearly forgotten about.

Amen to that. SVT isn't dead. It's just a bunch of crap someone started to get a rise out of fans.

Let's try this...

"I heard from a reliable source (who I can't mention) that SVT is as strong as ever. The Lightning should be ready mid '05 and the new Cobra will be out mid '06."

Let's all hope that both the Cobra and Lightning are still slated for production. What a tough decision, Cobra or Lightning...he**, buy both!!!

This is true... When looking at an 04 I mentioned the "tick" and "Stall" problems and the guy looked at me like I was from somewhere else...

Speed channel, last night, the host said: "...and the new Cobra will have between 400-500HP, and we should see it by the end of the year".

I'm ready... :coolman:

I believe the L is delayed indefinitely at this point. Correct Kevin? Sounds like some pretty shaky stuff going on at SVT, perhaps this explains the new boss man...

Well the 6.2 most likely is throwing the crimp in the L program.
