I took the car to our local Mustang shop run by a guy who was a Ford tech for 10 years, but it's first time working on an R model. It's throwing a code indicating an EPROM error, so we're trying to determine whether I have the correct computer and whether it's been flashed before. The car was fairly heavily modified with racy parts but done poorly - wrong combination of parts and assembled incorrectly. It's my belief that the computer has probably been modified as well. When we pulled it out, the gray plastic molding around where the main harness plugs into the ECM has a crack in it like it had been dropped, but it is labeled #86 in yellow marker on it, which is the production number of my car. So I think I have a 95 R computer of unknown physical condition with an unknown calibration. The car hasn't been right since I bought. Since I can't go down to Autozone to get a replacement ECM, I'm wondering what my options are. Can I get a TwEECer R/T and load the correct .bin file or an SCT flash? Other ideas? I was under the impression that it was primarily just chips vice flash software available for the EEC-4 ECMs. Todd, could you please resend the ZA0.bin file when you get time? Please send to sargentemail@yahoo.com. Henry, is the SCT Pro Racer software package you're using laptop-based or a hand-held flash-type programmer? As always, any advice is greatly appreciated. Regards, Chris
