[QUOTE="Bad Company, post: 15930749, member: 141815"] I don't know if you've looked this up recently or not. On Autonation's website the stock crank retails for more than $2100 with a discounted price of $1389.22. Ford has already raised the price and I imagine around the first of next year they'll do it again. I find that manufacturers will start raising the prices of the parts for discontinued models fairly quickly to justify the amount of money they have in inventorying these parts that no longer have any production value. By the time the model is 10 years old the parts will become extremely expensive to purchase, if any of them are still available. I think Ford is worse than Caterpillar in this regard, Cat will stock it they just charge you so much for it that it forces the customer to consider upgrading to new equipment after it is 10 years out of its last production date. I keep telling myself I need to buy a set of cylinder heads, but the cost keeps me from doing it LOL I have a billet crank in my engine. All I can say is this engine runs so much smoother with a lot less NVH in the car than it did with the stock crank that I wouldn't consider anything else but a new billet crank, especially if you're going to turn higher RPM with a big blower.
