crankshaft protrusion into oilpan?

How far does the crankshaft protrude into the stock oilpan on a 4V? The reason I ask is I have a QA1 K-member and need to replace my oilpan with a Canton 7qt. I REALLY don't want to drop the K-member and suspend the motor ...especially with all my turbo piping in there. Is it doable to just unbolt the oilpan, remove it and replace the Canton? ...oh yeah, can't forget about the pump pickup.

I have one and a AJE K member to install. You will need to drop the K member to make room to install the oil pan or raise the engine. Did you ge the windage tray too? I will in a few months finnish this mod along with some other mods to my Mach 1.

I did, but our cars have a windage tray already. Thanks for the info, not what I wanted to hear
