Did a bit of aesthetic work today

First Mustang, and first time doing any work on my car of any kind (other than some basic stuff like changing the oil, etc). Dipped my heat extractors today and popped a gloss coat on top, and swapped out my 5.0 badges to gloss black. I'm quite pleased for a first time effort!

I have been wondering why people buy the badges for that price when they could plasti dip them. Does the plasti dip not hold up?
