Did you know you can swap aluminum 3:15's for cast iron 3:55's?

This is an easy swap for a stronger case and livelier gears. if i had a 15/16 auto i'd jump on this!

I prefer my 3.15's.

You would still need the Whipple flare tool so this would be an expensive swap for no gains.

This thread was created to show that when you get up near 850hp with a sticky tire, the aluminum collars on the super 8 rear have been known to snap off. with the cast iron case this is not possible. the 3:55's are a bonus...

My '16 has 3.55 gears and it's a auto. Are those housings steel?

Yours is also aluminum from the factory. All autos come with aluminum housings from the factory. And there have been very few if any failures with them.

Ah. Good to know thank you. I know very little about these cars yet.
