Yeah, it was. Lesson learned for me is that I should have been more patient and used options that were available to me. I should have listed the car here and on eBay. I thought it was a good sale at $27-$28K but when I saw the car go for $31.5K, at auction, at wholesale, nonetheless, I now see that I was sitting on a $33-$35K car. My brother was telling me that I should have sold the car on consignment or had someone else sell it for me. I was too emotionally involved (tired) to sell it. He's heard me complaining about the car sitting and how I couldn't even really drive it since Brooklyn has 25MPH speed limits and the BMW issues, etc. I would talk about times at Tyndall AFB in the FL panhandle where you could drive a car fast and the roads were nice, no potholes, no winters, etc. and he knew I was getting tired. I have no regrets though. Especially when I paid off my credit cards and increased the funding to my TSP. It felt like the weight of the world was off my shoulders when I saw the zero balances on those cards.
