I just picked up this car a few weeks ago and one of the first things I noticed was that the car would not go into gear or shift unless the clutch is pressed all the way in. I had a shop in phoenix tune the car and I ask him about it and he said it had a firewall adjuster and that it was adjusted all the way out?

well I went to the track last weekend and after heating up my tires and launching I couldn't for the life of me get the car into second gear! Now you have to pretty much push the peddle through the floor to get it into gear.

Do I need a new clutch??

Maybe, but maybe not. Could also be from an excessively stretched cable (particularly aftermarket cable) or bent clutch fork- check that first.
