Im gearing up for a street NA motor build on my 04 Mach 1 (MT). The plan is LT headers, Todd Warren cams, ported intake, shaved heads, and billet oil pump gears. Factory redline. My car is set up for back road, twisty fun. At some point I may AutoX or HPDE the car. My build goals are better power with a useable power curve and longevity/reliability. The engine builder I’m talking to wants me to run the Steeda UDP set up. He’s well regarded and has a lot of experience. He claims to have used the Steeda UDP set up on a lot of hard use builds with no problems. I’m concerned that this may not be in the best interest of the motor in terms of longevity. I’m leaning toward an ATI stock diameter damper and underdriven March accessory pullies. Just wondering if the hive mind has changed on underdriven crank dampers. Thanks all!
