Got a question for all the experts out there. My girlfriend has a 2000 v6 stang, and it is putting out a dtc 5284 code which is an oil pressure switch failure and the check engine light comes on and off randomly. We took it to get a test done and it came back as a misfire in cylinder #1, and a EGR Valve failure, but no oil pressure switch failure shown on the diagnostics test they done. Now the car is really really running rough. So my question is, would this oil pressure switch and egr valve make it run like it is running. My 2000 GT has the same code coming up and it is running a little rough, but not near as bad. Thanks for any help, it is greatly needed and appreciated.
