E brake light wont go off?

I washed my car yesterday and the E-brake light keeps coming on. It shuts off when I'm accelerating, but while cruising and when shifting gears it comes back on. Any suggestions?

Yes, Check your fluid levels. Not only is that light used for when your e-brake is on, its also used to inform you of a problem with your brake system i.e fluid level.
