'96 Mustang with 111k mi.
Went to pull up on the e-brake yesterday while parking the car. E-brake came all the way up with no resistance. The emergency brake also does not engage.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, the e-brake is activated by a cable, pulling up on the e-brake handle pulls the cable. I'm guessing, where the e-brake handle and cable connect, somehow broke, came loose, etc. Is this correct, if so, does anybody have any experience with it? Thanks.
Also, I had the E-brake recall performed on my car 2 yrs ago. Thanks in advance.
