[QUOTE="SinisterLS2, post: 13339070, member: 153128"] I'm with you on it. Guy is a freggin fanboy. The ZL1 fails. Period. Stock terminators posted low to mid 12s regularly (see below) when they were released. Also, a point, Ford did not release TIMES for the Cobra either. They let the consumer figure it out as well as magazines. When Chevy made this....ZL1...they stated it is capable of 12 flat. Yeah? So is your Cobalt SS. Your freggin Tahoes are "capable" of 12 flat. What kind of statement is that? "Capable." Alot of things are "capable." Are you...GM...capable of explaining why the ZL1 costs more than a grand sport and a new CTS-V that has MORE power from the same setup? NO! You're not "capable" of doing that. What you should be doing is focusing on a camaro that is "capable" of beating the new GT500. (Ouch) Why is it a fail, because GM advertised it as a win. Against what? There is nothing in its class. The one thing that was, now, is the GT500 and it rapes it. Price. Quarter. Quality. Resale. P*ssy pulling power. Color selections. Options. Standard options. Yet, every magazine always picks the "ZL1 and we don't know why. Just feels better." I bet some of that bail out money burning a hole in their pocket feels EVEN better. You can't even go to a dealership because they have NO BASE C6 (Z51 OR NOT) CORVETTES, and they always say, "Well, this is a corvette with back seats. We could put you in this!" Bastards. When I first drove an SS, the sales guy said "This will run circles around a Corvette." I sternly, STERNLY told him lets get that crap straight. ZL1. It's like a bottle of expensive bourbon. You know, the kind with the bubble in the middle that makes it LOOK like you are getting a full bottle. At first you get excited, and dive off into it. Then you're pissed because it didn't even get you buzzed. GTFO ZL1 fanboys. Even I, a hardcore GM guy, see the epic fail of the ZL1. If you like the ZL1, why wouldn't you go Z28? It's faster, sure, more expensive, but you gotta mod your ZL1 to keep up with those GT500s anyway, so who cares? Just order the Z28! Even camaro guys have no excuse! Get that crap out of here!
