Nope. Haven’t talked to either one in over 12 years. My dad was the kind to talk you out of following your dream…if my mom had two nickels to rub together, she’d spend one. I have been very fortunate. Started this business with my business partner almost 5 years ago, and have blown the **** up since bringing on my A/D Director/Superintendant. Went from 2-3 cranes working 24/7/365, to 17 cranes working 24/7/365. Went from doing $2mm a year in revenue to $8mm last year and on track for $16-$20mm this year. I’m adding two more crawlers by the end of the month and we’re headed to look at another used hydro crane tomorrow morning, so I should be at 20 by the end of the month. I’ll honestly probably be at 30 by the end of the year and blow my $20mm prediction out of the water. Factor in that we’re already working a deal for another 700 ton crane to join it sister in the wind markets (I’m buying into half of the business my partner already had doing wind) and the fact that we’ll probably be adding a 900 ton this time next year. Doing the math several different ways to value your company all end up the same. Right now we are valued combined between $50-60mm (50/50 split) and by this time next year we’ll be over $100mm combined. We’re already on the radar, and taking a huge chunk of our competitors revenue (in both markets) to the point they will buy us out to get it back, and all our equipment and personnel. Be headed to Conexpo in Vegas in March to visit with all the guys that could and possibly will, but us out. Not to sound like T-money, but my CPA has all my tax stuff, and with all the write offs, it’s not representative of my true income. Plus a bunch is in assets. Once he gets it back to me I’ll try and remember to blur it out and post it up.
