flex-trim size for hood mod?

ok...i searched and found like 25 threads about using flex trim for the hood mod, but no one says what size out of the 4 sizes to use?

one person said use the smallest and one persone said use 1/2"

but smallest isn't 1/2"


so what size is the best to use?

Available in four sizes:
5/32" opening x 35/64"H
1/4" opening x 1/2"H
3/8" opening x 5/8"H
1/2" opening x 19/32"H

I used
1/4" opening x 1/2"H

I also painted the liner with heat proof flat black paint and added some aluminum duct tape around the vent openings (foil side). You may have cracks in the silver foil, especially in the corners where water can leach through to the blanket. If your blanket is swelled greatly you can staple the cut edges to get the flex trim on.

I bought mine at an auto upholstery shop by the foot for about a buck a foot.
