Are the 03 cobras using a air pipe that connects the smog to them?

Just wondering if I will have to cut that and get a piece of hose to connect the aftermarket(Magnaflow Catted X)to the smog system.

So far looks like Ill need a U joint for my wrench to get to the passenger side header bolt.

No tube. I had some beat up fingers from that passenger side.

Impact wrench with extension bar and universal joint did the job.

Surprises me there is no air tube. It was always thought that air tube helps prevent the cats from burning up. It was also supposed to decrease emissions as well.


Fortunately I have the air impact wrench. Will pick up the u joint and Ill be set.

heres a tip:

buy a can of PB Blaster from autozone and spray it on the studs before you begin. Those nuts will slide right off like butter!! Try it!
