I installed the Ford Racing diff cover about 6 weeks ago and filled it as per the instructions. When I drove the car about 40 miles in the freeway rear diff fluid was dripping everywhere and it was coming out the vent, what a mess. I installed a temporary catch can made out of a plastic bottle and checked the bottle after a track weekend and there was no fluid in the bottle. Bottom line is the instructions are wrong and cause a over fill and fluid coming out of the vent. The Ford specs call for a fill level of 1/4 to 9/19 of a inch below the fill plug as per the Ford shop manual. I even questioned the instruction sheet when I filled it, but I thought they maybe changed the fill hole location on the new cover. Like always I learn the hard way!
